Report of the Legal Department of Consulting Group TEAM

The Legal Department of Consulting Group TEAM reported the results of the year 2016.

“In 2016, against a background of multiple changes in legislation and not the most prosperous environment for business, we were able to sustain development benchmark and to improve the results on a number of indicators. Apart from statistics, this year was filled with some bright moments, such as completion of the important Due Diligence project in the construction field for a Chinese client, holding TEAM seminar within the conference "Territory of law", as well as winning one of the biggest legal cases for a TEAM client for the recovery debt of more than 1 million Euro.

In the past year, TEAM has discovered new rare areas of business in the field of intellectual property rights protection in the Internet and sports law.

The main result of the year is that in 2016 we formed a real team, which laid the basis for the future, and together with our clients created opportunities for development”.

Clients.

In 2016 the Legal Department of TEAM has provided services to 23 new clients, including 8 foreign companies from the following countries: Finland, Japan, Netherlands, Great Britain, Australia and Mexico. With the planned target of 12 new clients per year, the plan was exceeded by 52%.

Herewith the share of new clients in the total revenue of the Legal Department is equal to 37%.

The litigation procedures.

In 2016 the Department participated in 46 litigation cases, of which:

• 26 cases in arbitration courts;
• 16 cases in courts of general jurisdiction;
• 4 cases under the Federal law entitled "On insolvency (bankruptcy)".

Among the 26 cases in arbitration courts, 20 cases resulted in a victory and 5 are still in process. The percentage of decisions in favor of the client was 95%.

Among the 16 cases in courts of general jurisdiction, 13 cases resulted in a victory and 2 are still in process. The percentage of decisions in favor of the client was 93%.

The total sum of collected funds in favor of TEAM clients amounted to more than 170 million rubles.

Revenue of the legal consulting Department.

The financial results of the Legal Department was 102,26% of planned revenue, which also exceeds the revenue of 2015 for 36,44%, and 2014 for 60,69%.
